Some Great Players That Will Missed Qatar 2022
Every Football World Cup is a celebration. For several years, each participating nation prepared and fought hard to obtain its place in the most relevant competition in world football. Besides, each edition brings dreams, hopes, and expectations for players and fans of the participating countries. One of the most critical components is the participation of great football stars. We refer to those brilliant names that we all want to see playing and showing the best of them on the field. But, logically, in each World Cup, there are absent figures because their national teams were left out of the competition. We have seen it in the past, and sadly, we will have to witness it in Qatar 2022. Many of the best players in the world will not be present, and it will undoubtedly be a shame for all football fans since there is no other platform bigger for this wonderful sport than the World Cup. And as well as missing out on some of football's biggest stars, big national teams that traditionally have a strong history of World Cup participation will also be missing. Here are some great players who will not attend the next World Cup.
Erling Haaland (Norway)
At just 21 years old, the Borussia Dortmund attacker is the second most expensive player in the world. This season he shone again in the Bundesliga by scoring 22 goals and being the third-best scorer in the league. Many expected to see Erling Haaland in Qatar, but Norway failed to qualify.
Jorginho (Italy)
One of the most solid players in the world is the Chelsea midfielder. Jorginho is a true leader in his Premier League team and the Italy national team. But, it is not just about this great player. With Italy out of the World Cup, we won't be able to see stars like young PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Marco Verratti, and Ciro Immobile.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Sweden)
At 40, the legendary Swedish striker was ready for Qatar after another fine season with AC Milan. Many dreamed of seeing last Zlatan Ibrahimovic participation in a World Cup.
David Alaba (Austria)
After establishing himself for several seasons as one of the pillars in the Bayern Munich defense, David Alaba moved to Real Madrid. There, he gave his best in the 2021-22 season. So, it will be another notable absence from the World Cup.
Mohamed Salah (Egypt)
If there is a name many aspired to see in Qatar, it is that of the Egyptian attacker Mohamed Salah. He has become the best player in Liverpool and perhaps in the Premier League. This season he was the leading scorer with 23 goals and assists with 13. But the list goes on, and other great players that we will not see in Qatar 2022 are Jan Oblak (Slovenia), James Rodriguez (Colombia), Riyadh Mahrez (Algeria), and Arturo Vidal (Chile), as well as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon).
However, we do not doubt there will be many emotions in Qatar. But it would have been a dream come true to see all these excellent players who were left without a chance to attend.
